We very sadly announce the passing of Odell’s Patron Joyce Coley.
Joyce was a founding Trustee of The Odell Trust from its inception in 1984 until 2018, also holding the position of Chair of Trustees in her latter few years on the Board. After stepping down from the Board after 34 years’ service due to declining health, Joyce then took on the honorary role of Patron, a position she held until her passing on Wednesday 25th November at the age of 88.
Joyce was very passionate about helping individuals with a learning disability and some of you will remember Joyce as the former Head Teacher of many years’ standing at Blakebrook Special School, with many of her ex pupils at Blakebrook subsequently attending day services at the Odell Centre.
Joyce was a great supporter of the Odell Centre and took an active interest in our members wellbeing and achievements. Joyce will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
