The many activities they are involved in include:
-
Potting seeds
-
Watering
-
Digging
-
Planting
-
Sowing
-
Pruning
-
Clipping
-
Weeding
-
Mulching
-
Flower picking

How does Green Shoots help our members and community?
Green shoots harvest the produce for the Odell kitchen and help with the prepping and cooking too!

Members are trained in the safe use of hand tools, some of whom are then able to progress to use more complex tools and machinery, such as a rotovator and lawn mower.

The benefits of learning gardening.
Gardening is a healthy, stimulating activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities.

Learning the skill of gardening helps promote self sufficiency in our members and builds a huge amount of confidence.

We have multiple allotment plots across two sites - Franche and Habberley, plus we have the Odell garden.
