The benefits of performing arts.

Drama, through the supportive environment provided, helps to empower our members and increases self-confidence, self-esteem, motivation and mental wellbeing of those individuals taking part in these productions.

Many of our members love getting involved with the performing arts and get a lot of enjoyment from performing in front of an audience, dressed up in costume.

Their participation helps to make them feel valued as an individual, due to the contribution they make.

How often do The Odell Players perform?

We put on one or even two productions a year, depending upon the size of the production.

New experiences.

We embrace digital technology, using green screen and multi-media systems to enhance our performances. We use Makaton/Sing-a-long Singing for fun interactive and inclusive sessions.

We encourage our members to experience the use of musical instruments, including bell ringing, percussion, steel drums and African drums

Teamwork at The Odell Centre.

Our drama productions also indirectly involve other aspects of our activity service delivery, in terms of woodwork and painting for background scenery and also needlework, which is involved in the making of costumes.
