Woodwork helps to develop fine motor skills, as members become more physically confident in the use of tools, as they complete increasingly more complex tasks.
This breeds inner confidence and self-esteem within each individual and helps to empower them to take ownership of the task required.

Members who participate in woodwork sessions are trained in how to use tools correctly and safely.
Starting with simple hand tools such as saws, hammers and screwdrivers and progressing on to the use of more complex power tools.
Building confidence and creations.
Members are involved with the entire production process from start to finish, commencing with designing the product they wish to make, which challenges members to be creative in the use of their imagination, then constructing it, painting or varnishing it.
